About the Artist

German artist Roman Kasperski's photographic work is a sincere and profound tribute to women. His camera focuses on the female body, emphasising and sublimating its expression of power and fragility. The coherence, humanity and respect evident in his artistic perspective address the complexities and ambivalences that often resurface in the discussion on sensuality, eroticism and beauty. Another aspect to be taken into consideration are the very innovative techniques and unexpected procedures with which the artist moulds, composes and reconstitutes bodies, movements, pulsations and gazes, culminating in a poetic whole. Perhaps what will challenge the viewer when approaching the much-discussed thematic and problematic issue on the feminine universe is the fact that in Roman Kasperski's work the woman is never approached as an Object, but above all as a Subject.
